Love the food at this restaurant. One of my favorite!

Fantastic restaurant. Easily our favorite Indian food in the city. Servers are super nice and know just about everything about what you are about to eat. I always ask them to choose my meal for me and I've never been disappointed. Be sure to make a reservation on Fridays and weekends though.

Fantastic family run restaurant since 1983. Traditional East Indian dining set in an elegant yet family friendly setting. Awarding winning flavours spiced to anyone's palate. One of the best places in town!!

I loved the place, location and decor. The food is good and fresh but service is slow. But I would come here again for sure.

Overall is good but food are not as spicy as what I expected. The waitress should have ask how spicy we want it to be. The papadum was not what I expected too. It’s a little salty for the papadum.

Amazing food quality. Very authentic taste. Portion is good too for the price. One thing I would suggest is that maybe put a couple of napkins and plastic spoons, forks, etc. in the take out bag. Great service overall.

Great ambiance and very good servers. My only complaint is the portion sizes are small for the amount of money you pay.

Great food great service. Good selection of beverages. Been coming here for years. Never had a bad dish. LOVE the garlix naan bread. At times parking can be a challenge.

This is my go to place in the city for Indian food. It's authentic tasty and the staff are awesome.

Solid indian food. Pakoras are always my favorite. Can't go wrong with the Mango Prawn Curry and naan. Happy to have this so close.

Been here a few times, always have great food here. Went there tonight and it packed. Great to see! There slow days are usually Monday and Tuesday but it was a full house almost. I can't pick one item I like here, all of it is delicious. Must try for Indian food.

Modern Indian restaurant with a very nice decor. The food is flavorful with various spiciness levels. The restaurant has limited parking when it's busy.

Moti Mahal has been my regular restaurant for quality Indian food. I have been going to this place for around 7 years now and the quality and service hasn't changed in that time. It's a family run business by one of the kindest and most accommodating families that I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Good food but small portions

Moti Mahal has become a staple in my life. I got lucky ordering the Kashmiri prawn and Goa lamb with coconut pilau and garlic naan my first time there, as they have continued to be my absolute favorite east indian dishes ever (and Indian food has been a staple in my life forever)I've since brought family and friends to Moti, so have ventured outside of my favs and I will admit, I've never enjoyed them quite as much.But if you're looking for a beautifully balanced meal, try my favorite order! The subtly of the pepper and apples with the prawns along with the hit of ginger and garlic with the lamb are, in my mind, the perfect combo.

Tonight we ordered take out from this quaint Indian restaurant. We were presently surprised. The decor, the atmosphere and food were so authentic The flavours of all of the dishes were out of this world.The staff was so friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu. All of there suggestions worked great for us.If you are interested in authentic tastes from India, I would highly recommend Moti Mahal!!

This is an Indian cuisine restaurant. The food is really good. The buffet is really worth having. The chicken was absolutely delicious as well as the the beef curry. My favorite Indian cuisine is tandoori chicken and they have it there it was really delicious and we go back for it again when I have a chance good to have a decent curry in Calgary. Coming from Durban in South Africa it is very difficult for me to find a decent curry, but this place did well .

SO delicious + easy to make gluten free, for those of us that are celiac. It's a bit of a splurge for a family of 4, but well worth it!

A Calgary institution. Indian fine dining for a very reasonable price.

We have dined at Moti Mahal a number of times over the years, which is our favourite Indian restaurant in Calgary. The dishes are tasty and delicious and always consistent flavour & texture. Our favourite dishes are Veggie Pakoras, Chicken Tikka, Butter Chicken, Vegetable Poryal, Basmati Rice and Naan bread. The wait staff are friendly and attentive.

I tried food in different Indian restaurants in Calgary. But this is the first Indian restaurant where I loved the food. Super friendly staff. Cleanliness is amazing. Less oil and less spicy. Clean meat and quality food.

Went here for the first time with a friend as she kept raving about it. We went for lunch and the price and quality of the food was amazing. I also liked the layout of the restaurant it had a very light and relaxing feel to it. Looks like it would be a good place for a group too! Highly recommend for a lunch spot!

Favorite Indian restaurant in YYC. The owner is super nice, his kids work there and the business has been in the family since 1982. We ate there again on Valentine's day and our 2 small kids had a blast on the swing greeting guests. The copper dishes are a hit and the food is remarkable. They really put a lot of effort into their ingredients and methods and it shows! Best eggplant of any Indian restaurant.

Savoury and spicy this will not disappoint. The vindaloo is delicious. Be sure to order one more dish than you think is necessary if sharing with friends.

Wonderful food and excellent service.

Food was well presented and flavourful. Service was a little slow, although very friendly. Portions are on the small side, especially considering the price.

Always excellent food. However service was tardy last night. Took forever to get drinks and food. Been dining there for years and always had excellent service. Hope this is not the start of a trend.
